Hints
Win season mode games
Turn the salary cap off. Go to front office screen and select "Create A Player". Then, select "Super Player". Set all his attributes. On the next screen, take all the options an use the D-Pad to go back one. His salary should be $21.5 million. Create at least one player for each position to make an unbeatable team. You may lose one or two games in the season if you simulate it. If you play all the games, you will easily win all of them.
Easy defense
When the QB is lined up directly under the Center, take one of your defenders and put him right in front of the Center. When the QB snaps the ball press turbo ([X]) and run toward the QB. He will usually throw the ball incomplete, out of bounds, an interception, or to the RB (and he will easily be stopped for a loss).
Easy kick off coverage
Score a touchdown or fieldgoal with no time remaining in the first or third period. When the teams run to line up for the kickoff, you will line up quicker than the other team. Kick the ball, and if done quickly enough, the other team will still be running. They will field it very deep in their territory and you should be close enough to tackle them without the other team getting a good return.
Easy touchdown
Ste up in shotgun select go route. If the defense sets up in a V-shape your receiver will catch the ball for about 15 to 25 yards. Do this about three times and you should get a quick touchdown.
Easy onside kick
Trade John Hall from the Jets to be on your team. When you go to kick, instead of changing to an onside attempt, line up regular. If there is wind, kick the ball away from it. Kick the ball as easy as possible. It will usually work and works best against the Bengals.
Easy sack
To sack the quarterback easily, line the defense up in the nickel package and play as the middle safety. Move him about 5 yards from the offensive line and wait for the snap. Charge the line and you should break the coverage and leave nothing between you and the quarterback.
Blocking field goals
Before the ball is snapped, get penalized for encroachment. Do this four times and they will snap the ball before you get penalized and you can run straight at the kicker.
Better punt
When punting the ball, call an audible and change the play. The receiving team will change its coverage. Next, call an other audible and select the old play. If done correctly, the receiving team will not change. Punt the ball, and the entire receiving team will try to block it. Run down field and down the ball. This will allow you to pin the opponent deep in their own territory.
Scared players
To get players to run away from you, do a running play to the right side. When you get out into the open, repeatedly press [R2] to juke. If you keep pressing it all the way to a touchdown, the players should not attempt to tackle you.
Glitch: Two minute warning
When the clock is running down to two minutes, snap the ball just when the two minute warning box appears. If done correctly, the clock will not stop and the opposing team will not call a timeout.
