Cheat mode
Press "Turbo", [Jump], and "Pass" to change the icons below the helmets on the versus screen. The numbers in the following list indicate the number of times each button is pressed. After the icons have been changed, press the D-Pad in the indicated direction to enable the code. The name of the code and a sound will confirm correct code entry. Example, to enter 1-2-3 Left, press "Turbo", [Jump]x2, "Pass"(3), [Left].

Off-screen plays
Move to the top left corner of the screen when selecting a play and press [Up]x2.

Onside kick
Get a touchdown, then go for two points or a field goal. Immediately after you do one of the conversions, hold [X] + [Square] + [R1] +[Up].

Soundtrack
Play the game disc in an audio CD player. The soundtrack can be heard on tracks two and above.

Easy sacks
Press "Turbo" and run towards the line of scrimmage to sack the quarterback faster than just standing there. This works with any team.

Easy win
Choose the Miami Dolphins (because they have Dan Marino) and set the options to "No Interceptions", "Infinite Turbo", and "No Random Fumbles".

Determining fake field goals
When the CPU is ready to do a field goal, if the announcer does not say "Lining up for the field goal", it is a fake. If it is announced, then it is real. This also happens when punting.
