Getting promotion points
You can get Promotion Points (PP) by doing the following.
Completing a level: 1 PP
Keeping all of your pigs alive in a level: 1 PP
Completing all the levels on a island: 5 PP
Completing special tasks on some levels: 1 to 5 PP
Easy kill
This trick only works if you have Freeze Gas and Hide.
First throw Freeze Gas on your opponent(s); then Hide for as many
rounds as necessary for the opponent(s) to sneeze themselves to
death. Even the strongest opponent (legend) can be defeated in
this way. However, this may take up to (150-15)/10 i.e. 14 rounds;
weaker opponents are finished off sooner. The advantage of this
method is that even if you are outnumbered and/or very weak you
can still kill really strong opponents while guaranteed that you
get away unharmed.
Use a weapon that can knock Pigs far, such as the Cattle Prod.
Knock them far out into the water and they will lose a lot of
health trying to swim back to land, and they may even drown. This
is also useful if the water is Poison -- even if they make it
back to land they will be poisoned. Note: Commandos and Heroes
will not lose health in the water.
Use the following trick to ensure a hit with a missile launcher.
Get close (but not too close) to the enemy. Level the sight of
you bazooka so it is straight. Aim at the enemy, then apply full
power. This will definitely do 40 damage to him.
On "The Spying Game" level, make sure you have a sapper
with at least two mines. During the level, two enemy spies come
down on to two pig heads. Place a mine on both heads. When the
spy comes down, he will have 60 health taken off him on impact.
Easy level completion in multi-player
artillery
When you are attempting to destroy vehicles, pillboxes
or artillery, an excellent way to do so is to have a pig with
a flamethrower (Pyrotechnics have them, level 3 heavy weapons
soldiers, or they can be used in multiplayer mode). Walk it up
close to the intended target. Face the target, and let rip with
the flamethrower, so all the flames hit the vehicle, pillbox or
artillery. It should suffer about 102 to 108 points of damage.
Heal yourself
Heal yourself with a medi gun by pointing the gun straight
up in the air. Shoot, and it will hit and heal you.
Get Commandos before the level 1
Start a new game and enable the "Bonus FMV sequence"
code. Play the training mission and after the loading screen two
FMV sequences will start. The game will then return to the starting
screen or the men upgrade screen, depending on your version. Select
multi-player mode, and choose a deathmatch. Then, select the Play
Pen level and choose paratroopers for your entire team. Start
the game, and you will see the FMV sequences again. After they
complete, you should have Commandos at the men upgrade screen.
Swimming
Commandos and Heroes are the only ones that can swim
without losing health. All other Pigs will lose health trying
to swim.
Hiding place
If you find a "?" box, this may be one of
the Pigs hiding. This will not appear on the mini-map.
Easy completion of last level
Make sure to kill the purple gunner in the pillbox.
When the legends come down, poison them. Every pig sould have
one poison gas, which is just enough to poison each legend. Choose
one pig (you should have commandos and heroes by now) and make
him hide for the rest of the battle. With the other pigs, you
can make them hide, or to speed it up, keep attacking the enemy
until you die. As this is the last level, it does not matter if
only the pig who keeps hiding survives.

Engineer career
A pig in this career has close-range weapons like the
Shotgun and explosives, good for close-range combat; also, you
can see mines, good health. This is a good career if your not
that good at aiming long-range weapons. Also this is the only
career that you can see mines, making it good to negotiate minefields
to get weapons and extra promotion points. However this is not
a good career for long-range combat and you almost cannot do anything
on "long-range shootout" levels with your starting weapons.
The three ranks of the "Engineer" career are:
Sapper
Health: 80
Skills: Trotter, Shotgun, Mine (three uses), and TNT (one use).
Engineer
Health: 100
Skills: Trotter, Shotgun, Shrapnel Grenade (three uses), Mine
(three uses), TNT (two uses), and Suicide (one use).
Saboteur
Health: 120
Skills: Trotter, Super Shotgun, Shrapnel Grenade (three uses),
Mine (three uses), TNT (three uses), and Suicide (one use).
Espionage career
A pig in this career will not appear on the enemy's
mini-map, can hide, can steal a pig's skills, and will show up
on the mini-map if its that team's turn with a pig in the career.
This is a good career to use because you can use the skill "hide"
to hide in a "?" box or in a tree. You can also make
a pig somewhat harmless by stealing their skills with "Pick
Pocket" and using the "Sniper Rifle". However,
it is not the best career for combat, and only has one long-range
weapon (Sniper Rifle). The three ranks of the "Espionage"
career are:
Scout
Health: 75
Skills: Knife, Rifle, Poison Gas (one use), Pick Pocket (one use),
and Hide
Sniper
Health: 90
Skills: Knife, Sniper Rifle, Poison Gas (one use), Suicide (one
use), Pick Pocket (two uses), and Hide
Spy
Health: 120
Skills: Knife, Cattle Prod (three uses), Sniper Rifle, Poison
Gas (one use), TNT (one use), Pick Pocket (three uses), and Hide
Medic career
A pig in this career can heal other pigs. This is a
good career to keep all of your pigs alive to get the "Survival
Bonus" promotion point and to keep your good pigs alive.
However, these types of pigs have low health, only basic attack
weapons like a knife and rifle, and are not good for combat. The
three ranks of the "Medic" career are:
Orderly
Health: 60
Skills: Knife, Rifle, Grenade (three uses), and Healing Hands
(three uses)
Manic
Health: 80
Skills: Knife, Rifle, Medicine Dart (three uses), Grenade (three
uses),
Medicine Ball (three uses), and Healing Hands (three uses).
Surgeon
Health: 120
Skills: Knife, Rifle, Rifle Burst (three uses), Medicine Dart
(three uses), Tranquilizer (one use), Grenade (three uses), Medicine
Ball (three uses), and Healing Hands (three uses).
