Fight as Zhuge Liang
Finish the game with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun. The, press [Left] at the character selection screen.

Fight as Cao Cao
Finish the game with all characters except Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun.

Fight as Toukichi
Enable Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, and Lu Bu. Quickly press [Down]x2, [Right], [Up], [Circle], [Triangle], [R1], [R2] at the title screen in the North American version of the game. For the Japanese version of the game, enable Nobunaga then highlight the "1P Battle" option at the main menu and quickly press [Down]x2, [Right], [Up], [X], [Triangle], [R1], [R2].

Fight as Sun Shang Xiang
Quickly press [Left]x2, [Up], [Down], [Triangle], [Square], [L1], [R1], on the one player battle screen. The sound of a sword will confirm correct code entry. Choose this character (a girl), by pressing [L1] or [L2] on the character select screen.
