Mirror mode
Hold [Select] when choosing a course in single race or time attack mode.

Unlimited nitro
Hold [Select] when choosing "OK" at the car and track confirmation screen (final screen before the race begins) in single race or time attack mode.

Hold Select when choosing a course in single race or time attack mode.

Bonus car
Select the Rally-X mini-game at the options menu. After passing 50,000 points in the mini-game and it finishes, the Rally-X car will be unlocked in world tour mode.

Bonus cars
Play ten multi-player races using a single cartridge to unlock the 00-Agent car. Keep playing in multi-player mode to continue unlocking bonus cars, in the following order: Red Shirt Rage, Pooka, Caddy Car, Galaga '88, Shy Guy, and Mario Racing.

To unlock all bonus cars in the game, win all the Platinum GP races.

To unlock a car in Car Attack mode, win the indicated Grand Prix to get that car as an opponent in Car Attack mode. After defeating that car in Car Attack mode, you can then drive it in Car Attack mode.

Auto-turning
When going around any corner, enter a drift by holding [X] + [Square] and the direction of the turn. It will automatically keep you in the middle of the road. Any time you enter a drift, it will steer for you and keep you in the middle of the road.

Lakeside Parkway R: Shortcut
On turn five, where there is grass before a tunnel, there are no walls preventing you from going across. This allows you to cut a corner on a slightly unnecessary turn and give you even more of a lead. Note: This trick works better with a Nitrous boost if the grass slows you down.
