Cheat Trophy
Press [L1], [R1], [Up], [X], [R2] during game play. The Cheat Trophy (actually a Plumb Bob Trophy which resembles a metal post) will now appear on the lots and the following codes may now be enabled.

9,999 Simoleons
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [R1], [L1], [R2], [Right], [Left] during game play. Select the Cheat Trophy, then Interaction/Location: Give Simoleons.

All lots unlocked
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [Circle], [L2], [Left], [Circle], [Up], [Circle] during game play. Select the Cheat Trophy, then Interaction/Location: Unlock/Unlock All Locations.

Set Skill level
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [Triangle], [Circle], [Square], [R2], [Left] during game play. Select the Cheat Trophy, then Interaction/Location: Change Skill - <name>/Change to <number>.

All recipes unlocked
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [R2], [Square], [Up], [Down], [Right], [X] during game play.

All fashions unlocked
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [Square], [R2], [Down], [Right], [Square] during game play.

Horn audio
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press [R1], [L1], [R1], [L1], [Triangle] during game play.

Remove messages
Press [Right], [Up], [Right], [Down], [Right], [Up], [Down], [Right] during game play. A Sim voice will confirm correct code entry. Messages such as for the carpool and bills will no longer be displayed.

Mode switch
Press [Select] to toggle from Direct Control mode to Cursor Select mode. This very useful during Freeplay mode.

Controlling a dead Sim
Kill your Sim. There are a lot of ways to do this, but starting a fire is the fastest. Once your Sim is dead switch, to direct control (if not already in it). As a dead Sim you can walk through walls and talk to Sims. Terrorize, Wail, and Possess are social options dead Sims can do. Unfortunately you cannot actually possesses Sims out of social mode. These social options have no effect on other Sims, but are funny. You can also challenge the Grim Reaper in fiddle challenge. You have an unlimited number of chances to try this. If you win, your Sim will become alive again. You can also pay the Grim Reaper 100 Simoleons for a Back To Life Ticket.

Unlocking recipes
Completing your Cooking skills, reading the newspaper, and reading a magazine while on the toilet or while relaxing in bed unlocks the recipes.

Business career
To master the Business career you must have Body at level 9, Logic skill at level 9, and Charisma skill at level 7.

Food locations

Dangleberries can be harvested in the Sproutch Couch.
Other fruits are harvested on a Frood Tree.
Golden eggs can be received from Chicken Checkers game.
Fish can be harvested from the Manilla 1000 Aquarium
Some vegetables can be harvested from the GenoLife Garden Hutch.

Hidden food
There is more than just the food you can make. For example, there is food that give your skills a boost, food that helps you in love (romance Sims only for their goals), and food not in the list. For example, you can make a pizza.

Free harvested food
Use the following trick if you are in need of food and have very little money. Buy an item that can have food harvested from it. Harvest the food from it, sell it back, then buy another. This will keep you from having to spend money on food. Unless there is more than one sim in your house, you do not have to worry about the other Sim wasting money buying non-harvested foods.

Aphrodisiac effect meal
Ostrich and Passion Fruit; or Carrots, Lime, Pork and Passion Fruit. Most things made with Ostrich or Passion Fruit will have the aphrodisiac effect, although some have a very negative effect (black hearts) that will lower your Sim's mood.

The Harvested Fruits will make your Sims temporarily fall in love so they can make out even with zero Friendship points. They cost nothing to cook. Both Sims must eat the food for this to work.

To create Savannah's Love Potion, get a U-Probe-It Refrigerating Organism Refrigerator and the following ingredients: Orange, Lemon, Cherry, and Strawberry. Use the counter to make fruit. Your Sim will fall in love with another Sim.

Skills boost effect meal
Chicken, Onions, Eggs, and Milk.

Carrot, Egg, Milk, White Flour. This will give your Sim a +3 boost on all skills, but it will go down after awhile.

To boost all your Sim's stats by 3 temporarily, create a meal using Egg, Milk, Whole White Flour, and Corn Oil. Put it in a food processor, then in an oven. The meal will have sparkles coming out of it. When you eat it, all your stats will be boosted by 3 temporarily.

To boost your Skills to 3+, make a meal that includes the following: Chicken, Carrot, Potato, Eggs. After awhile it returns to normal. It is recommended that you eat this meal before you to go to work. Eventually you must boost the Skill points up a few, but it works until about the third promotion.

Eat a whole plateful of harvested vegetables one hour before you leave for work. They will increase your Skills by 3 temporarily. You should get a promotion provided you have enough friends. You can eat it raw without cooking it. The Harvested vegetables will increase skills by 3 points temporarily and cost nothing to cook.

Super High Octane Shiny meal
Use Ostrich Lemon, Yogurt, and Broth on the stove This meal will have a constant high shine to it when it comes out.

Raising motives
To raise your Social, Energy, Fun and Comfort at the same time, power nap on a couch with a television or radio on nearby and another Sim sitting beside the Sim you are controlling.

The Chess Table can also be a Paper Football Table. Have one Sim try to score on the other Sim by shooting the Paper Football through the other Sim's fingers (like a field goal). This raises Fun.

Buy an Expresso Machine. Three cups of expresso raises your energy level to full. Always buy the bathroom stalls and put them near the Expresso Machine (remove any extra bathrooms). Also buy the Floating Bathtub and put it near the kitchen and toilets. The Floating Tub increases Hygiene, Fun, Comfort, and Social (when another Sim joins you).

Put Stereos all around the house. Whenever your Sim walks by one, their Fun level will automatically start to increase without dancing. Put one in your kitchen, by the restroom stalls, by the hot tub, and by your couch. Even if you power nap, the radio will still increase your Fun level.

To keep your Room motive high, clear out all the interior walls and just have one huge room. Delete any extra bedrooms and bathrooms. You do not need them. No matter how much trash builds up in the house, your room level will always be high. If you are at a house with three or four separate rooms, just connect them all and take down the dividing walls. Make sure to hire a maid or you will live in a sea of trash.

Saving money
Objectives that require buying furniture can be easily purchased on low ends. Just buy it to complete the goal then delete and get your full money back.

Money for goals
When you have a goal, such as to buy a bed worth over 300 Simoleons, and you cannot afford it, simply sell the bed in your house and buy it again.

Finding buried treasure
A Sim can only use the Metal Detector in direct control mode. It is possible to find money, Dangleberries, monkey idols and bottle caps.

Skip a few promotions in your job
To be able to skip promotions while applying for a new job, you must first get your Sim (for example, Noel) promoted to the top of a career of your choice (level 10). Then, when applying for a new job with somebody else (for example, Wooster), find the one you chose with your first character. Depending on your relationship with him, you will be able to get a higher level job.

Do the Woohoo with three Sims
Start with three lovers (preferably ones you can control in the house). Walk your Sim and their lover into the bedroom with the Love Bed then remove the doors. Make your Sim relax then call your lover to join you. Do the Woohoo and replace the door. As your lover gets out of bed, call over your next lover. When the first one leaves and the next one enters, remove the door and do the same thing. All the Sims must be in a good mood for this to work. You can stay in the bed and have three Woohoos in a row without getting out of the bed.

Keep friends easily
Throw a party once a day. It does not matter who shows up. They will just be happy to come by and hang out.
