Home run sounds
Press [C-Up] or [C-Right] to hear air horns, or [C-Down] to hear whistles while running around the bases after hitting a home run. Note: This has no effect in home run derby mode.
Three ball count
Hold [L] + [R] + [Z] and press [Up], [Down] during game play.
Instant strikeout
Hold [L] + [R] + [Z] and press [Right], [Up], [Right], [Up] while pitching.
Home team score increased by one
Hold [L] + [R] + [Z] and press [C-Left]x2 during game play.

Hints
Easy homeruns
Hold "Analog-stick Up/Left" and press [B] when at bat. If positioned correctly, the batter will hit a homerun most of the time.
Easy base hit
While batting undeer the rookie difficulty setting, get as close as you can to the plate, then hold [C-Down] (bunt) before the pitch is thrown. While doing this, hold "Down/Left" so that the ball will go down the left field line. The pitcher will pick up the ball and throw it to first; however chances are you will make it safely. Hold [B] button while running to first so he will dive. Most of the time you will succeed. Do not perform this trick when the bases are loaded because the pitcher will throw to get you out.
