Primary Collection of Cheats
Debug mode
Press [C-Up], [Up], [C-Left], [Right], [C-Down], [Down], [C-Right], [R], [A], [B] when "Press Start" appears at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Use controller two to select the debug options. Press [Start] to cycle through the options, such as "Cheats", "Level Select", and more.
When you enter the code on the title screen and hear the horse, the Cheats Menu will be available but will have no cheats active (unless you they were previously activated or earned). Once you start or load a game/level, text will appear in the upper/left hand corner of the screen. Use controller two to control the debug options. Pressing [Start] cycles through the various lists of options. Use the buttons noted below to change certain values. Note: Debug mode does not save on the memory pak like the other cheats.
Enable the "Debug mode" code as usual, then start a two or three player multi-player match. You can use the unused controller to control the debug menu. The best use for this is to use the warp to play the regular game with multiple players. You can complete the game as normal or fight each other. When you die, you will just reappear because you are in a Dukematch.

Press [Start], select "Quit Game" then choose "Yes". Start a one player game to play as the person that was previously selected.
Big head mode
Press [B], [Up], [Down]x2, [A], [Z], [A], [Right] when "Press Start" appears at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Alternately, rescue all babes in level 2, "Liberty Or Death", to unlock the cheat option for big head mode.
Big gun mode

Flat shade map
Press [Down], [Up], [Left]x2, [A], [Right], [Down] when "Press Start" appears at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Alternately, obtain all secrets in the secret "Wetworld", level to unlock the cheat option for flat shade map.
Weather
Press [Z], [A], [L], [B], [Down], [Up], [R] when "Press Start" appears at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Alternately, obtain all secrets in level 6, "Under Siege", to unlock the cheat option for weather.
Maximum shotgun ammunition
Rescue all babes in level 10, "Up Ship Creek", to unlock the cheat option for maximum shotgun ammunition.
Maximum revolver ammunition
Rescue all babes/obtain all secrets in level 12, "Probing The Depths", to unlock the cheat option for maximum revolver ammunition.
Maximum SMG ammunition
Obtain all secrets in level 15, "Dawn Of The Duke", to unlock the cheat option for maximum SMG ammunition.
Maximum Volt C. ammunition
Obtain all secrets in level 17, "The Rack", to unlock the cheat option for maximum Volt C. ammunition.

Hints
Health refill
Destroy a fire hydrant, toiler, water pump, or another water source. Run up, stand in the water and repeatedly press [B] to slowly restore Duke's health until it reaches 100. Also, if you see a concentrated area of purple objects appearing from the ground, stand on it to refill your health.
Wetworld level
Play through the Nuclear Winter level until reaching the rail tracks leading to the communicator. Power up and drop off onto the roof below where a medi-kit can be seen. Jump off this roof into the water (which is only on one side). Swim to a floating platform, where the level exit will appear.
At the end of the Nuclear Winter level, when you cross the bridge to the satellite receiver fall to the right on the bridge into some water. Note: If you fall to the left side you will fall to the street and kill yourself. Turn the corner in the water and jump into the space ship.
Easy Western period Boss kill
Get the sniper rifle before facing the giant scorpion at last stage of the western time period. Go out to the entrance when you can barely or see half of the scorpion. Pull out the sniper rifle, aim at its body, and start firing.
