Debug mode
Hold [A] + [B] + [C] + [Start] when the opening logo starts to fades. Release the buttons when the Bluesky Zone appears. Press [Start]x2 to display the debug screen.

Super team
Enable the "Debug mode" code. Set the following numbers (from the top downward) on the debug screen: 3, 1, 3. Hold [A] + [B] + [C] + [Start] to exit debug mode. Press [Start]x2. A "Bluesky" option will appear at the bottom of the screen. Set this option to "On". Pictures of the development team will appear. Press [Start] and select this team in exhibition mode. Note: This team has the best stats in the game.

Night game
Enable the "Super team" code. Select the Bluesky team, enter the controller options, choose team, then hold [Up] and press [C]x3.

Glitch: Have pitchers play other positions on the field
Use the following trick to get the pitcher to play other places on the field. The other team must be up to bat, you must have no designated hitter, and the lineup set after the first pitch is thrown (the lineup is gray text where you cannot press [C] to have players bat in a different order). Go to the lineup screen and switch any player from the other eight with someone new (for example, replace the catcher Smith with another catcher Jones by pressing [A]). Switch the pitcher with another player that plays any position on the field (for example, replace the pitcher Knight with a 1st baseman by pressing [A]). You will then be forced to replace that non-pitcher with a pitcher. You should pick a new pitcher (someone other than who you had pitching before, for example Bennett. Then, return to the lineup screen. Note that the two positions you changed are white. Press [C] to swap those two players spots in the batting order (for example, the catcher was batting 8th, and the pitcher 9th). Now, highlight the player (for example, the catcher), press [A] to pull him out of the lineup, and put back the player that was playing the position when you started (for example, you pulled Smith and put Jones in, now put Smith back in). The two players will trade their field positions (the pitcher Bennett now has to catch and bat in the 9th spot, and Smith must pitch and bat 8th). Resume the game, and change the pitcher again (Smith must come out cause he cannot pitch, while Bennett stays as catcher, and the starting pitcher is blacked out). Exit out of the bullpen screen. You will know the trick worked because the screen will fade to the pitching/batting screen strangely.
