Primary Collection of Cheats
Game saves
Collect the letters "K", "O", "N", and "G" all one the same level, then complete the level. The game is also saved after beating a Boss.
Unlimited lives
Enter the bonus stage just half-way through level 8 (Gangplank Galleon). Collect the extra life and leave the stage. Re-enter the stage to collect another extra life. Repeat this procedure to collect an unlimited amount of lives.
You can use either Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong to do this trick. Play the first level and try to get all of the Donkey Kong Coins and Bananas. Do this as many times as needed. Then, go to the level before the first Boss. Go to the barrel in the ditch and repeat.

After you complete the first pirate level, re-enter it. Move to the left and jump in the barrel. Collect the two DK face coins and then press [Start] + [Select]. Repeat this to get unlimited DK Coins for special bonuses.
Unlimited DK Coins and lives
Go to the first pirate level. Go to the left to jump in the barrel. You will get two coins and a 1-UP balloon after the second barrel. Quit the level and return. Repeat this to have the entire bottom filled with lives.
After you complete the first pirate level, re-enter it. Move to the left and jump in the barrel. Collect the two DK face coins and then press [Start] + [Select]. Repeat this to get unlimited DK Coins for special bonuses.
