Scorcher mode
Press [Select]x3 at the Takara logo. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Desperation moves may now be done at any time and some characters will have new special attacks.

Expert mode
Note: This code may only be enabled when the game is played through a Super Game Boy. Press [Up]x2, [Select], [A], [Down]x2, [Select], [B] when the phrase "Press Start" appears at the title screen. The title will turn blue to confirm correct code entry. The CPU controlled character is faster in this mode.

Fight as Gaia, Gaia 2, Uranus, and Sho
Press [Up], [Down], [A], [B], [Right], [Left], [A], [B] during the Ellis demo, when she turns around and beeps. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Gaia, Gaia 2, Uranus, and Sho will now be accessible at the character selection screen.

Fight as Gaia and Sho
Press [Right], [Left], [A], [B] during the Ellis demo, when she turns around and beeps. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

All fighters
Press [Up], [Down], [A], [B], [Left], [Right], [A], [B] when Elis begins to dance at Elis' demo screen.

View all dialogue
Press [B], [A], [Left], [Right], [B], [A], [Down], [Up], [B], [A] when the Takara logo appears. Press [Up] or [Down] to select a message from 0 through 207. Then, press [A] to display the dialogue, tips, and special attack messages.

Fight Gaia 2 in story mode
Finish two opponents with a desperation or secret move in the final round of a match under the normal or higher difficulty setting.

Fight Sho in story mode
Fight Gaia 2, then finish two opponents with a desperation or secret move in the final round of a match under the normal or higher difficulty setting.
